Rosenboom, DakotaLink Manager
Ron has devoted much of his
professional career to working with and advocating for individuals with
disabilities. Ron began working for Black Hills Special Services Cooperative
in 1984 teaching vocational classes to special needs individuals. He
operated the first mobile vocational assessment unit in 1986. In this
capacity Ron provided vocational assessment services to special needs
individuals across the state of South Dakota and became one of the state’s
first Certified Vocational Evaluators (CVE). Ron worked for several
years for Western Dakota Technical Institute where he helped to establish
the assessment program and the special needs program. Since returning
to BHSSC in 1995, Ron has assumed administrative roles in several other
programs in addition to his role as the current Director of DakotaLink.
He is also currently the Deputy Executive Director of Black Hills Special
Services Cooperative. Ron has a BS in Education from Black Hills State
University and a MS in Counseling and Human Resource Development from
South Dakota State University.

Patrick
T. Czerny, Coordinator of Technical Services
Patrick
has been with the project since November, 1992 and is a nationally certified
Rehabilitation Technician. He is responsible for coordinating all technical
services provided by DakotaLink and works from our main office in Rapid
City South Dakota. Patrick provides quotes for evaluations as well as
equipment purchases and training. He also plays a key role in the development
of our four geographically located Demonstration Centers These facilities
offer on site assistance and some products that individuals can see
or evaluate before purchasing. Contact

Janet
Werner, Resource Specialist
Janet
joined the DakotaLink team November 1, 1993 and brings to the project
a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, with a minor in Psychology.
She has been responsible for various activities throughout her ten
years with DakotaLink. At the present time she has various duties
which include bookkeeping, information and referral, and training.

Russell
V. Koenig, ATP, Rehabilitation Technician
Russell
has been with the project since July 1, 1998 and is a nationally certified
Rehabilitation Technician. He has an AAS Degree in Mechanical and
Manufacturing Engineering Technologies from Southeast Technical Institute
in Sioux Falls, SD. Russell has varied job duties which include purchasing
agent for DakotaLink, client assessments and training, along with
information and referral.

Ted Carrell,
Assistive Technology Specialist
Ted
began working with DakotaLink in July of 1998 and has been working
in the rehabilitation field for over 14 years specializing in Assistive
Technology for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Ted originally was
employed by a private computer company dealing with custom built computers
and specialize software programs before becoming the computer instructor
at the South Dakota Rehabilitation Center for the Blind in Sioux Falls.
In 1996, Ted transferred his skills to Dakota State University as
the Assistive Technology Specialist for Service to the Blind and Visually
Impaired. Ted has degrees in Computer Science and Business. Contact

Chuck
Fullenkamp, Rehabilitation Technician
Chuck
began working at DakotaLink in January 1999. Before that he worked
for Hutchinson Technology in Sioux Falls as a computer/network technician
for 6 and 1/2 years and then for 1/2 year for Dakota Business Center
in Rapid City working on computers and cash registers. Chuck studied
electronic technology at Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls
and found that more helpful in the job market than his degree in French
and Classical Languages from Saint Mary's University in Winona, MN.
He has been studying American Sign Language and was enrolled in ASL3
at CSD when he began at DakotaLink.
Chuck works with Patrick Czerny in the western part of the state providing
information and referral on assistive technology devices, providing
and assisting with assessments, research into the procurement of devices,
and installation and training for individuals and groups. Contact

David
Scherer, Training/Outreach Coordinator
David
began working with DakotaLink in 1999. His duties include coordinating
the activities of the DakotaLink federal project with other agencies
and programs in the State that provide services or advocate for individuals
of all ages with disabilities or limitations who might benefit from
an Assistive Technology device or service. He also provides information
and training on Assistive Technology and DakotaLink services to individuals,
groups, service providers, and public agencies. David has a diversified
employment background including prior public service in law enforcement
as well as work in the private sector. He received his academic training
at Black Hills State University and the Wurzweiler School of Social
Work, Yeshiva University in New York City. Contact

Terry
Miller, Assistive
Technology Specialist
Terry
Miller has worked for DakotaLink since April 2001. Terry works out
of the Sioux Falls office as a personal driver. He also works as a
technician delivering assistive devices and provides training to individuals
as to the use of those devices. Terry has an Associates degree from
the University of South Dakota at Springfield, specializing in Building

K. Hudson, Assistive Technology Specialist
Page
has been with DakotaLink since January of 2001. He has a Psychology
degree from South Dakota State University, 3/4 coursework complete
for his Masters in business from the University of Sioux Falls and
has been a technical manager for over 7 years prior to his employ
with DakotaLink. He is responsible for providing information and referral
on assistive technology devices, conducts assessments and research
into the procurement of devices, and provides installation and training

Weston
L. Dinger, Assistive Technology Specialist
Weston
has been with DakotaLink since May of 2003. He has an AAS Degree in
Network Administration and a diploma in PC Support, both from Southeast
Technical Institute in Sioux Falls. His job consists of providing
information about assistive technology devices, conducting assessments,
along with installation and training for individuals and groups. His
primary area of expertise is in the field of computer equipment but
he is broadening his expertise to include assistive devices for individuals

James R. Honomichl, Assistive
Technology Specialist
Based
out of the Brookings office, James joined DakotaLink in March 2005.
He conducts client assessments and provides clients with installation
and training for assistive technology. James has a Computer Science
degree from South Dakota State University, and holds CompTIA A+ and
CompTIA Network+ certifications. Prior to joining DakotaLink, his
background included network and computer system administration and
support.

H. Sabers, Assistive technology Specialist
William
is based out of the DakotaLink office in Rapid City and is responsible
for providing installation and training for assistive technology along
with conducting client assessments. He has a Masters in Public Administration
with an emphasis in Management of Information Services and Personnel
Administration from the University of South Dakota. His primary area
of expertise prior to coming to DakotaLink is in the field of computer
equipment and operating systems. William has certifications as a Dell
Certified Systems Engineer, Comptia Network + Certification, Comptia
Server+ Certification, Comptia A+ Certification and Microsoft Certified
Professional.

Memory of Gary Carlson, Rehabilitation Engineering Technologist
Gary
was with DakotaLink since 1993 and has recently passed away due to
an automobile accident while traveling to meet a client. He was a
nationally certified Rehabilitation Engineering Technologist. He will
be missed by all of us here at DakotaLink.
